It's about
our livelihoods!
Berlin 2027.
We are at a turning point. The attacks on our jobs, our wages, and our dignity are intensifying—and our response must be stronger. Two days during which we will decide together how the IWW in Europe will fight in the coming years: courageously, collectively, and uncompromisingly. Be there—your voice counts, your local chapter counts, and your contribution shapes the direction of this union.
Direction, Not Routine—We’re coming together
to chart the strategic future of the IWW in Europe.
Developed from the ground up
— member-drafted documents, discussions in local chapters, and collective decision-making.
A Plan Rather Than Mere Analysis
— Thinking Holistically About Strategy, Organization, Education, Structure, and Resources.
A critical Moment.
A joint response.
International.
Our union is at a critical juncture. We are venturing into uncharted territory—the establishment of the European Regional Administration, intensified economic and political attacks, and the rise of authoritarian movements. That is precisely why we do not need haphazard responses, but rather a strategy that we develop together.
The 2027 Strategy Conference is not a top-down meeting of delegates—it is an invitation to every single member and every local chapter: Bring your experiences, your anger, and your ideas. The result will not be a finished document drafted by a committee, but a direction that we have all helped shape.
- Day 1: Who We Are and Who We Want to Be – the IWW's strategic direction.
- Day 2: How We're Going to Do It – Structures, resources, organization.
- At the End:: a mandate for the EURA referendum and a roadmap for the coming years.

“A union without a strategy is like a strike without a strike fund—the courage is there, but it fizzles out at the first sign of trouble. If we don’t decide together where we want to go, the boss will decide for us.”
Elizabeth Gurley Flynn
IWW-Organizerin
“We have a program for world revolution and a local group meeting with four people and cold coffee. But hey—at least the coffee is fair-trade.”
T-Bone Slim
IWW migrant worker and hobo poet
“They can break a strike; they can throw one of us in jail, but they will never break the will that is passed down from factory to factory, from country to country. Organize, fight, and never give up—solidarity is stronger than any border or any boss.”
Joe Hill
IWW Songwriter and Labor Hero
